The University of Western Australia (UWA) is a research-intensive university in Perth, Australia that was established by an act of the Western Australian Parliament in February 1911, and began teaching students for the first time in 1913. It is the oldest university in the state of Western Australia. It is colloquially known as a "sandstone university". It is also a member of the Group of Eight.

Eligibility
- Candidates applying for Arjen Ryder Memorial Undergraduate Scholarships, 2021 can be of any nationality.
- Candidates must demonstrate excellent academic achievement.
- Candidates must be enrolled or be eligible to enroll full-time in an honors course leading to a Bachelor of Science (Honours) or Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours) at the UWA Albany Centre.
- Candidates must demonstrate how their research will be of benefit to the Great Southern Region of Western Australia.
